Field trip with the YMCA.

Yes it's true. I'll be leaving in about 15 minutes to go on a field trip with 15 teens from the Y where I work. As they say down town, y'all pray for me!
PS. Good to hear from my cousin Cheryl!

The Igloo.

Yes, believe it or not I actually built an igloo/ snowfort/ thingamabob (or whatever you want to call it) for Cherie in order to propose to her. I must mention that this was with a considerable amount of help from Derek and Kenny Jones who helped me consruct this object at 2:00 the previous morning! True, this did happen a long time ago, (March 3rd) but... I didn't have a blog than. And it certainly would be a shame that this saga would happen in history without it being blogged about. The top picture is taken from the outside and the bottom one was taken from the inside. Even though it was -12 C., it was actually quite warm inside!

Congratulations Matt!

Yes it's true. The right honourable (note: correct spelling of honour) reverend Matt H. Graduated today from GBS Summa Cum Laddi*. (*GPA of 3.90 or higher) The keynote speaker was President Avery who left us, among other things, the following quotes: "If you're going to ride a tiger, never dismount." and "Never tear down a fence until you find out why it was put up."

The Church Where Cherie and I Will be Married.

Well I read on Malcolm's blog tonight that Ben Lambert got married today. This got me to wishing it was a little closer till September for me! Anyways, congratulations to Ben, and I thought you might like to see a picture of the church where Cherie and I will be married. It's an old United Methodist Church. These people in the picture are movable and won't be there the day of the wedding! Also the area to the left of the picture will be curtained off so it will look a little better than!

Depressing Picture of the Day!

This is one of the most mournful signs in the country! O yeah, to whoever it may concern. You'll need a passport to go between the Canada/U.S. border as of January 1, 2008. Comments anyone?

Happy Birthday Cherie!!!

Wednesday, May 17 was Cherie and Ezra's Birthday. The entire family (except for Matt) gathered at the arena where Ezra, David, and I played a game of hockey. (Final score ->Biohazard won 3-0) The game was followed by a snack in the lobby of the arena. I think I'll have to make this up to Cherie with a date at Don Pabloe's.

Hockey night in Kentucky!

These brave guys and gals deciding to risk the not so pleasant temperature of 55 degrees in order to play Street Hockey on Friday night - not an every day sight in this part of the country! The wet and slippery conditions were especially evident on one play where Potvan (Esther) running full tilt to get the ball slipped and was run over by opposing team player Tyler Replogal who was hot on her heals! A following fight ensued and... Just Kidding! We had a great time! Much thanks to the Vance's for the ice Cream! My apologies to several of you guys who didn't get your picture posted (not counting the group shot). The pictures of you were too fuzzy to show. We'll getcha next time! (: Thank you all for coming!

These two fellows happened to have had a great game! Tyler with several tip-ins and Andrew with a nifty shot from center rink that beat the goalie. These fellows captained by Ezra won by the narrow margin of 10-9. Look out next time fellows!

Wind vs Hair (the wind won)

We call this guy Ank' the Tank for short.

Here's Will (in above picture)practicing his kamikaze stance along with David who's waiting for his agent to negotiate his contract.

You can tell by this picture that Ezra feels exuberant.

Here's Amy with a feather in her hair.

Kenny, thoughtfully stroking his temple with his hockey stick.

Here's Esther making sure all teeth are intact.

Here's Tyler and Kenny charging the cameraman!

Notice Ezra (red shirt) with stick raised vs Esther. I think he was upset about an earlier goal she scored.

Hockey night in Kentucky!

It was hockey night in Kentucky where Burlington Youth braved the incredible cold of 55 degrees along with slipery not to mention wet conditions!

Yikes! You definitely don't want to be around when Cherie's taking pictures. (:
